Description of Business
We are engaging in the development of commercial facilities that contribute to local revitalization and are well-received by customers. In addition to development on company-owned land, we also exercise fixed-term building leases where we rent land from owners and other parties and lease buildings that have been planned, developed, and constructed to tenant companies, and we have exercised such leases more than 600 locations nationwide (as of March 31, 2024). We deploy and operate original brands for commercial facilities, CROSS MALL, CROSS GARDEN, and CROSS GATE.
Original Brands for Commercial Facilities CROSS MALL, CROSS GARDEN, and CROSS GATE
We propose new lifestyles that lead to an affluent way of life, contribute to the revitalization of local communities, and provide commercial facilities that are familiar to the local community. The original brands include CROSS MALL, CROSS GARDEN, and CROSS GATE. We hope that the facilities will be a place where "people" and "goods" can always intersect and resonate, while at the same time being a familiar space that enriches the mind.
Actual Cases
Helping Owners to Utilize Their Land and Business Activities of Tenant Companies
CROSS MALL TOYOTAJINNAKA (Toyota City, Aichi) is developed at a fixed-term leasehold building leasing initiative in which ORIX Real Estate entered into a fixed-term land lease agreement for business with the land owner and leases the buildings planned, developed and constructed by us to each tenant. A fixed-term leasehold building lease initiative allows landowners to make stable and effective use of their land, while tenant companies can utilize the building of their desired specifications without having to own the land or building.
Commercial Area in Mixed-Use Facilities Aiming to Create a Lively Community
In August 2020, commercial facilities with grocery stores, cafes and restaurants opened on the first and second floors of the mixed-use facility CROSS GATE KANAZAWA at the West exit of the Kanazawa Station. It is a diverse food zone fusing things "From Kanazawa" and "Coming to Kanazawa for the First Time," such as stores of local-origin, as well as stores that have been launched in Kanazawa for the first time and stores in new business lines, with a concept of "Premium foods and restaurants." The common areas are designed with the motif of Kanazawa's traditional craft, Kumiko-zaiku, to provide a space where traditions can be felt.
